Ascendis Pharma located in Hellerup is looking to hire a Business Finance Director for Product Supply as part of our global FP&A team, in direct reference to our Vice President for FP&A.

As Business Finance Director for Product Supply, you will leverage your unique skill set within finance and supply chain, including experience from the pharma industry. On this basis, you will be a value adding business partner for our product supply organization as FP&A’s representative in this field.
You will soon find yourself navigating the changing environment in our business, taking full advantage of the highly skilled people in our organization, and getting the grasp of how this can play to your advantage in setting the standards high for our FP&A ambitions.
To succeed here, you will have worked with FP&A, production controlling or manufacturing finance, and worked with excellence in value chain processes. We work to deliver value add to the business in everything we do.
With excellent relationship building skills, you will take the initiative in creating internal relationships especially with our product supply function as you will be working directly with the business.
An excellent Finance Business Partner
You will be part of a global growth-oriented biopharmaceutical company and in your position, you will be part of building a top-class Business Finance setup.
You will be driving key analysis of our supply chain setup and act as owner of key business finance projects on our journey from a purely research company, to a fully commercialized global business. Always favoring quality in processes, managing complexity and ensuring smooth business processes.
This is a newly established role, where you can set your own direction and bring solutions. As such, we are adding extra competencies, and attention to FP&A.
Specifically, you will:
Establish the finance business partner approach to our supply chain
Design and promote key performance indicators for our supply chain setup
Utilize inventory forecast and highlight potential gaps in production planning
Drive financial planning and budgeting for product supply collaborating with the business
Bring timely reporting and transparency in production to the business finance reporting setup, ensuring ‘no surprises’
Business relevant analysis of BOM variances in collaboration with our product costing specialist, who acts as preparer on product costing calculations
Deliver strategic recommendations for efficiency improvement in production setup and supply value chain
Prepare business cases for larger investments and projects
Perform manufacturing contract reviews
Always bring forward your skill set to ensure practical solutions
Overall, you will deliver business relevant analysis for management and product supply.
We aim for you to work with simplicity in production planning strategy as well as ensuring accuracy in production planning and quality in data. You should want to fully utilize our newly implemented ERP system, Microsoft D365, and enhance knowledge around production planning in our business.

Experience from a pharma company
