As Director of Product Costing, you will develop and drive financial aspects of our Supply Chain and Product Costing agenda. In 2021, we are moving from being a pure development and research company to full-scale production with the use of external production partners.
Coming with a strong financial background within product costing and production controlling you will navigate the changing environment in our business. You will develop and implement standard costing procedures in our new ERP-system, drive the use of technology and collaborate smoothly on Director-level with both Finance and our Supply Chain organization.
With excellent relationship building skills, you will take the initiative in creating internal relationships including with Management as your area of responsibility is high on our agenda.
We all work very much hands-on and always work with high integrity in the quality we deliver. You will be our specialist in product costing with direct report to our Vice President Finance Operations, being responsible for developing and rolling out the financial aspects of our global supply chain framework.
A Finance & Product Costing expert
You will be part of a global growth-oriented biopharmaceutical company and you will build a top-class financial framework around Product Costing.
As such, your main tasks and responsibilities will be to:
Develop and implement standard costing principles, guidelines, and practical processes
Establish financial transparency in all parts of the supply chain and third-party production
Setup a financial reporting framework for production and supply chain analysis, including relevant key performance metrics to monitor our supply chain efficiently
Maintain a positive, results oriented, hands-on work environment
Be an integral part of the operational end of our finance department
Challenge the setup, models and use of technology, including automation
Represent Finance in the close collaboration with our colleagues in Product Supply
Partner with third-party production partners and stakeholders to always be close to the production cycle end-to-end
Lead end-to-end analysis of our supply chain, evaluating each stage comprehensively from a financial perspective
Always bring forward your product costing skill set to ensure practical solutions
This is a newly established role, where you can set your own direction and bring solutions. As such, we are adding extra competencies, and attention to this business-critical area. To ensure sufficient resources to this area, you will have support and partner with an external consultant.
Is this you?
The successful candidate has a financial background specialized in product costing or production controlling as such, and demonstrates:
Efficient problem-solving skills looking to find practical answers to complex issues
As an individual contributor you work hands-on in everything you do. Including supply chain analysis and deep diving on detailed cost accounting issues and calculations
Ability to leverage prior experience to identify issues, actively engage in solution management, and interface with a variety of finance and supply chain professionals
Highly accountable with a collaborative and proactive working style
Strong analytical and mathematical skills being able to link that to Excel and systems
Apparent interpersonal skills
We are currently developing our standard costing setup and implementing it into our systems over the coming months. It is important that you in this phase are working directly with the numbers to ensure a quality setup in procedures and detailed calculation methods.
As we are implementing a new ERP-system, Microsoft D365, preferably you have experience working with an ERP implementation or upgrade of such.
Experience working at a fast-paced, dynamic multi-national company environment is a plus, as well as is experience from a similar position in a complex environment.
