Financial Reporting Manager (Ascendis Pharma)

Ascendis Pharma in Hellerup is looking to hire a Financial Reporting Manager to join our Global Finance team, with direct reference to our Senior Director, Group Accounting and Reporting.

Position Summary

As Financial Reporting Manager, you will leverage your set of skills from finance, and your ability to jump into new and challenging technical assignments. On this basis, you will let Ascendis Pharma be your playing field for developing your unique skills, strong mindset, and ability to grow.

You soon find yourself navigating the changing environment in our business, taking full advantage of the highly skilled people in our organization, and getting the grasp of how this can play to your advantage in setting the standards high for our ambitions in our group reporting team.

To succeed here, you will have worked with finance at group level, either directly or from audit/consultant side. We work to develop, implement, and maintain, meaningful, high quality processes to prepare for a fully scalable finance function, and your background means less than your mindset.

With excellent relationship building skills, you will take the initiative in understanding the business and the changing reporting requirements parallel to the changes in our business. Equally, developing strong internal relationships within our group reporting team and the business.

Specifically, you will:

  1. Take part in preparing annual and period reports in Group Accounting and Reporting

  2. Participate in developing, implementing, and maintaining group controlling procedures

  3. Prepare and/or review group consolidation (Cognos)

  4. Monitor IFRS and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting development

  5. Participate in developing and implementing accounting policies on new business areas, and on IFRS standards and reporting development in a broader context

  6. Prepare group accounting documentation (white papers) on accounting and reporting related topics

  7. Review new business contracts and evaluate financial implications

  8. Always bring forward your skill set to ensure practical solutions

  9. Participate in special projects and/or ad hoc requests as they arise
